ARTIST STATEMENT
As a single parent making the most of my time and materials is paramount in balancing my daily responsibilities with my art practice. My works on paper expand and compress in accordance to the environments they are created in. These tactile practices involve folding, weaving, and binding, along with traditional printmaking methods. Home and studio practices produce pieces that vary in scale, but share incremental, propulsive, and methodical means of accumulated construction. My recent works are assembled from discarded print materials: junk mail, magazines, Xerox copies and books.
